DESCRIPTION: Join us to help beautify the garden at St. Joseph’s Family C
 enter. Garden gloves and tools will be provided\, but volunteers are encou
 raged to bring their own and to dress for current weather conditions. St. 
 Joseph’s Family Center\, located in the Mission District in San Francisc
 o\, is a shelter for families experiencing homelessness. They serve 10 fam
 ilies at a time and provide wraparound services including three daily meal
 s\, case management\, a children’s activities program\, and referrals fo
 r counseling and financial coaching. The garden provides a place of solace
  where families can get their hands in the dirt and help to grow the flowe
 rs\, vegetables\, and herbs in the garden. Volunteers will be weeding\, pl
 anting\, installing a bench\, and using their creativity to make the garde
 n a more beautiful place for the families at the Center.
