PDG Mark Flegel is retired from Flegels Fine Furnishings\, the furniture store sta rted by his parents in 1954 in Menlo Park. Mark and his brothers worked i n the store while growing up. After graduating from the University of Sou thern California with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Philosophy\, Mark joined the family business in 1971. It was Mark who brought the stor e to be the premier high-end furniture store in the United States. "I alw ays knew he was a natural-born merchandiser\," said his dad. He has serve d on several city and area commissions and boards and as a trustee for Me nlo College and for The C.S. Lewis Foundation. He is currently a Director of San Francisco Fleet Week. Mark has been a Rotarian for over 40 years and is a member and a past president of the Rotary Club of Menlo Park. M ark was Governor of Rotary District 5150 in 2006-2007 and involved in Dis trict 5150 Scholarships\, the Youth Exchange Program\, and Youth Protecti on. He has also supported and participated on numerous international huma nitarian medical missions for Rotaplast and Alliance for Smiles.
