DESCRIPTION:JoEllen Arntz\, Company Manager and Wardrobe Supervisor of the 
 SMUIN Contemporary Ballet\, will present a very unique view of the Ballet 
 World that is sure to please both adults and children. She will bring auth
 entic SMUIN ballet costumes for the audience to view. Members and guests a
 re encouraged to bring their children and grandchildren to this luncheon w
 ho will be allowed to come to the front of the room to view the costumes c
 losely and see how they are made. JoEllen Arntz moved to San Francisco aft
 er receiving her BFA in dance from Creighton University in Omaha\, Nebrask
 a. She danced with the San Francisco Ballet from 1981-1991 and has been te
 aching dance in the Bay Area since 1977\, recently celebrating 20 years on
  faculty at the Marin Dance Theater. JoEllen also taught at the prestigiou
 s and now closed Miss Tilly’s Ballet and Theater Arts for children. She 
 began at SMUIN as Wardrobe Supervisor in 1996 and became Company Manager s
 hortly thereafter. Working with Michael Smuin at the San Francisco Ballet 
 and later his own company prepared her for the multiple hats she wears in 
 the organization today. This is a regular membership meeting of the Rotary
  Club of San Francisco\, open to all Rotarians\, visiting Rotarians\, pros
