DESCRIPTION:Members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco are invited to cele
brate Passover with a traditional evening Seder at the home of a friend of
our Club located in the St. Francis Woods neighborhood of San Francisco.
The Seder is a meal that starts with the retelling of the story of how the
Jews were liberated from slavery in ancient Egypt and a reminder of our o
bligation to build a better world or all (in other words\, Service Above S
elf). The menu will feature foods traditionally enjoyed by Jewish families
at Passover Seders\, including gefilte fish\, matzo ball soup\, braised b
eef brisket\, roast chicken\, matzo kugel\, vegetables\, wine and non-alco
holic beverages\, and dessert. While there will be options for those who a
void gluten\, we cannot offer a vegetarian or vegan option. Dress is busin
ess casual. Our hostess keeps a strictly Kosher home\, fully adhering to a
ll of the dietary rules followed by observant\, including special rules fo
r the eight-day Passover holiday (from sundown April 22 until sundown on A
pril 30 in 2024). Because space is very limited\, this event is open only
to Club members. No guests. More information\, including the location\, wi
ll be provided when you register. The cost of this event is $45 per person
