DESCRIPTION:Ticket sales closed on December 19\, 2025. Join the Rotary Club
  of San Francisco's Social Committee for a performance of the Tony and Gra
 mmy Award winning musical\, The Book of Mormon\, on Sunday\, January 25\, 
 2026 at the Orpheum Theater. The performance is a 1 PM show. Dinner will b
 e arranged after the performance. The Book of Mormon is a musical comedy w
 ith music\, lyrics\, and book by Trey Parker\, Robert Lopez\, and Matt Sto
 ne. The story follows two missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of La
 tter-day Saints as they attempt to preach the faith to the inhabitants of 
 a remote Ugandan village. The earnest young men are challenged by the lack
  of interest from the locals\, who are distracted by more pressing issues 
 such as HIV/AIDS\, famine\, and oppression by the local warlord. ADVISORY:
  This production of The Book of Mormon contains some mature and culturall
 y sensitive themes that may not be suitable for all audiences. No children
  under the age of 5 are allowed. We will plan to have a discussion after w
 hen we gather for dinner. Tickets are $120 each\; we have a block of 15 ti
 ckets in the Orchestra section.  Parking: If you are driving to the Orph
 eum Theatre for this event\, please check here in advance for parking. Pub
 lic Transportation: You can take BART to the Civic Center/UN Plaza statio
 n\, which is right next to the Orpheum Theatre. Also\, various Muni buses 
 and light rail lines stop near the Orpheum. The closest bus stop is at Mar
 ket and Hyde Streets\, just a one-minute walk away.  Accessibility: The O
