DESCRIPTION:We know that climate change is a problem\, and we know to chang
e our light bulbs\, but that won't be enough. Are there any solutions that
will truly address the scale global climate change and put us on a path t
o a sustainable future? The answer is YES! We need to put a price on carbo
 n. This presentation will talk about how carbon pricing works\, how it wou
ld impact the economy and society\, and the political feasibility of this
solution. We'll also explain what you can do to help. Whitney Larsen and H
eath Massey are volunteers with the Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL)\, non-pro
fit\, non-partisan\, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national
policies to address climate change. Whitney Larsen works in the renewable
energy and energy efficiency industry as a project manager. She has perfor
med home energy audits on thousands of homes and seen firsthand how simple
retrofits can help people save money\, be more comfortable\, and reduce t
heir carbon footprint. She has been an active volunteer with the San Franc
isco chapter of the CCL for the last year\, and now leads their Presenters
and Grasstops Outreach program. Heath Massey is a licensed landscape arch
