DESCRIPTION:Join Family House\, a grant partner of the Rotary Club of San F
 rancisco\, for an opportunity to prep\, cook\, serve\, and clean up an Ita
 lian dinner for their community. Volunteers will serve approximately 70 pe
 ople\, and Family House staff will be on site to provide support. Event is
  limited to 10 people. Register now to save your spot. Parking is availabl
 e on the street. Volunteers are encouraged to wear Rotary-branded attire t
 hat can get dirty\, as well as layers to be prepared for multiple weather 
 conditions. Dinners will be served outside on the Family House patio. Fami
 ly House serves as a home away from home for families of children with can
 cer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing physical comfort and
  emotional support\, free from financial concerns. Founded in 1981\, Famil
 y House is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization providing temporary hou
 sing to families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at the Univ
 ersity of California San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital. Qualifyi
 ng families live more than 50 miles from UCSF\, and many live at or below 
 the low-income status as determined by UCSF. Family House sustains nearly 
 a 100% occupancy rate and can accommodate 250 people per night. Over the c
 ourse of a year\, Family House serves more than 4\,000 families. Year Roun
 d Toy Drive (Optional): To make an extra special impact\, each volunteer i
 s requested to bring an unwrapped toy. Toys are given out all year round t
 hrough Fozzy’s Toy Room – where every time a family checks in with a p
 atient and/or sibling\, they get to pick out a toy. This will be an ongoin
