DESCRIPTION:GLIDE is a nationally recognized center for social justice. Its
  mission is to create a radically inclusive\, just\, and loving community 
 mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and margi
 nalization. Karl Robillard will talk about how the GLIDE Foundation has ma
 de a difference in the Tenderloin Community and beyond. Karl Robillard is 
 GLIDE’s Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer. He has lived in
  the Bay Area for over 20 years and has been a leading voice in shaping po
 licy\, philanthropy\, and storytelling for organizations and residents. Pr
 ior to working at the GLIDE Foundation\, Karl served as the Head of Social
  Impact at Twitter. Prior to joining Twitter\, he worked with Meals on Whe
 els and the St. Anthony Foundation. Karl has shaped his career on the beli
 ef that diverse groups of people can work together to create positive chan
 ge and are an unstoppable force for good. Karl was raised in Ithaca\, New 
 York and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the Coll
 ege of Wooster. When not at work\, he has a passion for all things outdoor
 s like trail running\, cycling\, skiing and snow camping. This is a regula
 r membership meeting of the Rotary Club of San Francisco\, open to all Rot
