DESCRIPTION:Lisa Mirza Grotts joins us to pay tribute to Charlotte Shultz
. Ms. Shultz was a member of our Club from November 1\, 1987 until her dea
th on December 3\, 2021. See more information on Ms. Shultz here.  Lisa
is a respected authority on etiquette and a former Director of Protocol fo
r the City and County of San Francisco working with both Charlotte Shultz
and former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown. With 23 years of experience\,
Lisa’s brand is good behavior. She dispenses pearls of wisdom - compass
 ion\, consideration\, and civility - to help others deal with business\, s
ocial\, and political situations. When Lisa gives etiquette advice\, it’
s often based on her own family values. Her life lessons are simple: show
respect for others\; the get is in the give\; and when you’re kind to pe
ople\, they return kindness.   Since the Pandemic\, social dynamics have
been reimagined except for polite behavior. It led us back to basics\; th
 e rules haven’t changed\, but there’s been a shift in their priority a
s new communication rules take root and we adapt to changes. Lisa’s focu
s is to honor traditional rules and meld them with the changing times. Her
approach is to redefine conventional practices and put others on a path o
f making informed\, intuitive decisions. When behavior comes from a level
of kindness and respect\, it can be powerful and transformative. Lisa auth
ored the first manners blog for HuffPost for eight years and is the author
of A Traveler’s Passport to Etiquette. She currently writes for the onl
