Our Visiting Rotarians were Catherine Bassick from the Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland in Massachusetts, Susan Dean from the Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown, Area Foundation Coordinator Brian Flaherty from the Rotary Club of San Francisco South of Market, Yvonne Flores from the Niles Rotary Club of Fremont, District Governor Mitone Griffiths from the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay, and Shinji Higuchi from the Rotary Club of Osaka. Congratulations to David Folk who was honored as Rotarian of the Month for March 2026. David has been a member of our Club since August 2024 and has been active in the Development Committee and setting up Cognito links to allow for registration at our events. David will be the Vice President of Development beginning July 1, 2026.
 
Congratulations to Alisha Marfatia (Information Technology: E-Commerce | EvolveWare) who was honored as Rotarian of the Month for April 2026. Alisha has been a member of our Club since June 2013 and has served as our Social Chair and on many committees over the years. Alisha will be our President Elect beginning July 1, 2026.

New Paul Harris Fellows
Paul Harris (1868-1947) founded the first Rotary Club in Chicago in 1905, hoping to bring some of what he treasured from his rural Vermont upbringing to the big city. Rotary would not exist without his vision of a group of business professionals who helped each other by helping others. For each $1,000 donated to The Rotary Foundation, a person can become a Paul Harris Fellow. Our Club was proud to award a Paul Harris Fellowship to:

Alisha Marfatia will be our President Elect beginning July 1, 2026. Margaret Miley (Hospitality: Hotels | Retired) is our current Vice President of Membership. Eric Orantes (Transportation | Retired) volunteers at almost every Service Project that our Club offers. Maureen O'Shea (Governmental Relations | Retired) is our current Vice President of Development. Darlene Wilson (Nonprofit Administration | Catholic Charities SF) is our current Vice President of Community Service. Congratulations to all!
 
Global Grant Presentation
Susan Dean, Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown and a former member of our Club, joined us to talk about their Global Grant to eliminate cervical cancer in Guatemala. She thanked our Club for our donation to this Grant. To date 17 out of 22 states in Guatemala have been served, but more is needed to serve the remaining states. If you would like to support this Grant, please contact Susan Dean.

Larry Booth (Engineering: Mechanical | Retired, Frank M. Booth, Inc.) introduced today's speaker — Stephen DeLay, who serves as vice president and regional executive for the San Francisco Head Office of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Stephen gave an overview of the Federal Reserve and its structure and then discussed the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco specifically and how it operates. He concluded with an economic outlook as of February 26, 2026 and invited us to engage in the following ways:
 
President Frank thanked Stephen DeLay and announced that 100 children would be inoculated against polio in his name.
