MEET A NEW MEMBER: Todd St Vrain
Todd St Vrain joined our Club on April 19, 2022. He is the North America Regional Manager for the University of Melbourne. Todd recruits students from the US and Canada to complete undergraduate and graduate degrees or study abroad as a visiting student at Australia's leading university. 

He lives with his partner in the Westwood Park neighborhood of San Francisco. Todd enjoys exploring cultures through food, movies with subtitles, music, and travel. He also likes to get out to experience nature hiking, kayaking, biking, and running. Todd has been in San Francisco for four years, but traveling extensively for work the first two years and mostly being at home the last two years.

SERVICE PROJECT May 2, 2022: Delivering Meals for The Arc San Francisco
Drivers needed to pick up pre-packaged meals at The Arc San Francisco and deliver to individual residences of Arc participants who are experiencing food insecurity. Exact directions will be provided when you pick up the meals. Hand delivery of meals must occur between 4 PM and 5:30 PM in advance of the Monday Night Dinner Club with Friends Like Me via Zoom to be held on the first and third Monday of each month.
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON May 3, 2022: Shawn Rosenmoss and San Francisco’s Climate Action Plan
San Francisco’s climate and environmental achievements have been a model for cities around the nation and the world. Shawn Rosenmoss discusses San Francisco’s recently released 2021 Climate Action Plan. The Plan tackles the interwoven climate, equity, and racial justice challenges faced by San Francisco and other Bay Area communities.
 
 
E-MEETING May 10, 2022: Dr. Diane Birnbaumer and The SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic: Where We've Been, Where We Are, and Where Do We Go from Here?
Dr. Diane Birnbaumer returns to our Club with an update on COVID vaccines, new medications, and thoughts about what may be coming next. She will also explain why the science seems to "change" over time to help us understand the reasons why data from one part of the pandemic may not apply even just a few months later. Please note that this meeting will be via Zoom only and is free of charge. Advanced registration required. Connection instructions will be provided to all who register.
 
 
DISTRICT CONFERENCE May 14, 2022
The annual District Conference is where clubs in the District come together to celebrate the year's accomplishments under the leadership of District Governor Danielle Lallement. This year's District Conference is a red carpet event fit for the stars. All members are encouraged to attend.

ROTARY LUNCHEON May 17, 2022:  Janet Kessler and Citizen Coyotes of San Francisco: Where they are, Who they are, How to get along
Janet Kessler presents the Citizen Coyotes of San Francisco. Known throughout San Francisco as “the Coyote Lady”, she is a self-taught naturalist who is into her 15th year of daily field research, documenting our urban coyote behavior and family life and including their behavior at encounters with people and pets. More recently she has delved into their population dynamics, mapping their territories and some of their dispersals here in San Francisco without the use of tags or radio collars.
 
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON May 24, 2022:  Diane Stark and the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank: Its Challenges and Goals
Food banks became the place of survival for millions during the closures caused by COVID-19. Diane Stark joins us today to talk about the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, its challenges, and its plans for the future.
 
 
CLUB SOCIAL May 25, 2022: The Escape Game
Come join us for 60 minutes of adventure and challenge in a Gold Rush escape room to hunt for gold with fellow Rotarians and guests. This game is limited to FIVE participants. Everyone must be masked and over the age of 13.
