LUNCHEON MEETING HIGHLIGHTS May 16, 2023: Lauren Kivowitz and Inclusive Arts

Past President JT Forbus (Accounting | Bogdan & Frasco) called this meeting to order at 12:15 PM and welcomed those online and those attending in person at the Anzu Restaurant in the Hotel Nikko.
 
Visiting Rotarians and Guests
Our Visiting Rotarians today were District Governor Nominee (DGN) Steve Wright from the Rotary Club of Pacifica and Joel Valdes from the Rotary Club of Manila. Robin Azevedo (Retail: Mattresses | Retired, McRoskey Mattress Company) introduced her daughter-in-law - Ahna Azevedo. Nancy Graydon (Development | Glaucoma Research Foundation) introduced her guests - Allen Habel and Catalina San Augustine. John Mathers (Management Consulting | eVo Associates) introduced his guest - Yuri Yasukawa whom John had met through Dan Davies (Information Technology: Consulting | North American Lighting). Other guests were Rose Chung, today's speaker - Lauren Kivowitz and her husband - Adam Weiner.

SERVICE PROJECT June 1, 2023: Diaper Bag Assembly for Homeless Prenatal Program
Join us at this service opportunity to stuff diaper bags and organize diapers and wipes for giveaway to clients of the Homeless Prenatal Program. We will meet at an open-air warehouse while stuffing the bags and organizing the goods.
 
SERVICE PROJECT June 3, 2023: Rotary Meadow Restoration
Come and enjoy nature, fresh air, and fellowship while helping Sutro Stewards seed and restore Rotary Meadow - a garden of native plants our Club planted at the summit of Mount Sutro in 2004. Participation is limited to a maximum of 20 members of our Club. Advanced registration is required. 
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON June 6, 2023: Lunch with San Francisco Mayor London Breed
San Francisco Mayor London Breed joins us to talk about San Francisco's many issues and take your questions. We do expect a large audience and encourage you to register early.
 
Baby Showers for Homeless Prenatal Program: June 7, 2023
Join us at one or both of the Baby Showers at the Homeless Prenatal Program where we will give expectant mothers diaper bags filled with supplies. The party for Spanish speakers starts at 10 AM; the party for English speakers starts at 1 PM. Registration is limited to two Rotarians at each shower. 
 
 
Partea for President Christopher: June 10, 2023
Join us for a special “partea” to celebrate the accomplishments and tenure of President Christopher who led us through the 2022–2023 Rotary year. Tea, sandwiches, sweets, and champagne will be served. All members and their guests are welcome. There is no charge for this event. Space is limited, and advanced registration before 5 PM on June 2, 2023 is required. This event has sold out. Registration is closed.
 
Supper Club at The Arc: June 12, 2023
The Monday Night Supper Club at The Arc now meets in person. Enjoy the opportunity to help with meal set-up and then, sit, eat, and get to know The Arc's participants. This event is limited to 8 volunteers maximum.
