Noah Griffin has been singing for, to, and about San Francisco all of his life beginning with the San Francisco Boy’s Chorus at the age of 7. He's performed in Opera, shared the stage with Nat Cole, Johnny Ray, Leontyne Price and Paul Robeson. He soloed with Duke Ellington in the composer’s Sacred Concert. He performed at the Opening of BART, the ceremonies celebrating the 100th anniversaries of the Cable Car and the 1906 Earthquake.

Noah has written songs for the Opening of AT&T Park and is the lyricist for the Official Ballad of the Golden Gate Bridge.

He is the founder of the Cole Porter Society dedicated to introducing young people to the genre of the Great American Song Book through the genius of Cole Porter.

In his talk, “From Kiss Me Kate to Hamilton: Anything Goes,” Noah will reflect on the words of Harry Truman: The only thing new in this world is the history you do not know." It’s up to us to connect our children to their musical past: they would benefit from a broader understanding of America’s artistic legacy.
