LUNCHEON MEETING HIGHLIGHTS June 6, 2023: Lunch with San Francisco Mayor London Breed

President Christopher Wiseman (Nonprofit Management | Glaucoma Research Foundation) called this meeting to order at 12:15 PM and welcomed those online and those attending in person at the Carmel Ballroom in the Hotel Nikko.

Our Visiting Rotarians today were Cristina Aquino from the Rotary Club of South San Francisco, District 5150 Governor Nominee Steve Wright from the Rotary Club of Pacifica, Past District 5160 Governor Jonathan Dwyer, Norma Faris Taylor from the Rotary Club of San Francisco Bayview, Brian Flaherty from the Rotary Club of San Francisco South of Market (SOMA), Lesley Kraechan from the Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown, Vanita Louie from the Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown, James O'Donnell from the Rotary Club of San Francisco South of Market (SOMA), Jim O'Grady from the Rotary Club of Petaluma Valley, Elizabeth Ranieri from the Rotary Club of San Francisco International Airport, Brian Rusch from the Rotary Club for Global Action, Howard Weathersby from the Rotary Club of San Francisco Bayview, Mark Williams from the Rotary Club of Midtown Atlanta, and Bruce Wright from the Rotary Club of South San Francisco.
 
On Zoom were current Rotary District 5150 Governor Gary Chow, Past District 5230 Governor Joy Anderson, Past District 5170 Governor Richard Flanders, Past President of the Rotary Club of San Francisco Casey Blair, Past District 5150 Governor Peter Lagarias, Past District 5150 Governor Chris Gallagher, and Karen Schmautz from the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach in Florida.
 
Other guests were Matthew Hawes, Clavel Bascom, Margarita Baxter Lozano, Derrick Cooper, Nikki Cooper, Grace Kuth, Austin Louie, Dr. Toye Moses, Simon Yu, Michael Rabara, and Jean Rosenblum.
 
Scott Plakun (Management Consulting | The Plakun Group) introduced his guest - John Cremer. Barbara Streett (Nonprofit Administration | The Arc San Francisco) introduced her guest - Steffany Dignum. Past District 5150 Governor Eric Schmautz (Banking: Management | Retired) introduced his mother-in-law, Jackie Herrin, and his guest - Neeraj Miglani. Robin Azevedo (Retail: Mattresses | Retired, McRoskey Mattress Company) introduced her guest - Christopher Kazas. Christopher Davies (Real Estate: Property Management | Self-employed) introduced his guest - Douglas Konecki. Carlos Valdes (Real Estate: Sales | Aeternum Holdings, Inc.) introduced his guest - Manny Posadas.

No Meeting on July 4, 2023
In honor of the Independence Day holiday, there is no Rotary Luncheon on July 4, 2023. Our first meeting for the Rotary year 2023-2024 will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
ROTARY LUNCHEON July 11, 2023: President Sunny Singh
In the first meeting of our Club's 2023-2024 year, incoming Club President Sunny Singh will introduce this year's Rotary International theme, Create Hope in the World, and what it means for our Club. President Sunny and the New Board will also share their plans for the new Rotary year.
