President Ozan Yasavur called the Board meeting to order on August 25, 2026 at 5:02 p.m. Secretary Stacey Poole recorded the minutes.
In attendance were Gary Dales, Ann Daugherty, Thomas Estruth, David Folk, Tim Hornbecker, Stellie Kim, Alisha Marfatia, Stacey Poole, Yana Sharma, Kayla Trunecek, and President Ozan Yasavur, constituting a quorum. Absent were Janet Beach and Daniel DeSanto. Our guest was Frank Yoke.
Approval of July 2026 Board Minutes
The Board approved the July 28, 2026 meeting minutes with minor modifications.
Approval of August 2026 Special Board Minutes
The Board approved the August 5, 2026 meeting minutes.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gary Dales presented the Treasurer's Report for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2026. Gary made a motion to accept the Treasurer's Report, and President Ozan seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Membership Committee
Vice President of Membership Kayla Trunecek reported on plans for the Discover Rotary event on September 10, 2026 and gave an update on those applying for membership. She also introduced the new members to date.
PR and Communications Committee
Vice President of PR and Communications Thomas Estruth talked about the work involved to move to the new platform in ClubRunner and update our Club's website. He also discussed the plans of the Advertising Committee.
Report from the President Elect
President Elect Alisha Marfatia discussed the plans for the Nominating Committee, Visioning 2026-27, and our Grant Guidelines.
Community Service Committee
Vice President Yana Sharma talked about a micro-volunteering opportunity and a book drive for the Kroc Center. She also discussed upcoming events and gave updates for future projects.

President Ozan and the Board selected Margaret Miley as the September 2026 Rotarian of the Month.
