Members, friends, and family of the Rotary Club of San Francisco gathered on June 14, 2025 to celebrate Bob Hermann’s outstanding service and leadership as Club President during the 2024-2025 Rotary year. Hosted by President-Elect Nominee Ozan Yasavur and his wife Merve Yasavur, the event was held at the C.A. Belden House (the Pacific Heights Queen Anne Victorian home owned by John Newmeyer and a historic San Francisco landmark). In addition to the Yasavurs, the following people rolled up their sleeves to make this event possible: Cecile Chiquette, Ann Daugherty, Robert Hunter, Dan Joraanstad, Margaret Miley, Maureen O'Shea, and Anita Stangl.

President Bob presented a Paul Harris Fellowship to John Newmeyer to recognize John's hospitality and support. John expressed how moved he was to receive this Fellowship along with a certificate and a Rotary pin. Pianist Dick Clark played throughout the afternoon. Singer Rick Harrell sang three of Bob’s favorite songs, accompanied by Dick on the piano. The lyrics to Thanks for the Memories were specially written with a dash of wit for President Bob.

It was a joyous and relaxing afternoon — full of Rotary spirit and appreciation for President Bob’s leadership over the past year.
