On Saturday, July 20, 2024, about 20 members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco along with guest Rotarians engaged in a four-hour Visioning Session. The objective was to envision our Club in 2027, three years from now, using the four steps of the Rotary Action Plan: Increasing our Ability to Adapt, Expanding our Reach, Enhancing Participant Engagement, and Increasing our Impact.

These steps guided the brainstorming of diverse ideas aimed at shaping Club goals for the next three years. Led by Past District Governors Jeri Fujimoto and Ron Gin, the participants focused on reaching out to the community, ensuring inclusivity, enhancing diversity, and creating impactful projects involving as many members as possible.

Initiatives discussed included improving member engagement through effective education on Rotary processes, exploring an international project in Mexico, considering a musical fundraiser, updating the Club's community image, and experiencing and having fun along the way. Most important, the participants urged the adoption of these ideas to meet the evolving needs of the Club and community. Throughout the session, there was unanimous consensus on the need to foster a sense of fun and camaraderie within the Club.

President Bob HermannPresident Bob Hermann will now organize and synthesize all suggestions, insights, and priorities and will report back to the Club by late August. Then, he will seek Club input on the options provided in order to sequence how we will implement these in Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3.

Great work by all involved!
