2021-2022 President-Elect Christopher Wiseman (Event Planning | Glaucoma Research Foundation) welcomed everyone to today's meeting and early celebration of St. Patrick's Day. He provided some fun facts about St. Patrick’s Day including that the original color was BLUE, not GREEN.

Rhonda Poppen (Grant Writing | GRANTdog) donated $61 in honor of her parents' wedding anniversary, survival from COVID-19, and first trip in over a year to the Atlantic Coast.
Allan Herzog (Financial Services: Advising | Wells Fargo Advisors) recognized the San Francisco Rotary Foundation and encouraged everyone to donate to the 50/50 Campaign to reach the $100,000 goal. 
Peter Logan (Law: Insurance | Peter Logan Law Offices) invited everyone to The Golden Age of Rock 'n Roll on March 18, 2021.
Casey Blair (Financial Services: Private Trading | KCB Trading, LLC) celebrated his daughter's 5th birthday on March 17 as well as St. Patrick's Day.

Sunny Singh (Financial Services: Advising | PK Wealth Management) invited everyone to the next Rotary Means Business workshop on Presenting in a Digital World, an interactive virtual workshop to boost your online communication skills. 
 
Valerie McGrewToday's Speaker
Steve Lindstrom (Software Engineering | Chairish.com) introduced today's speaker, Valerie McGrew. Valerie is a local historian, who provided an overview of the story of the Irish in San Francisco. The story included snapshots, which focused on the contributions of the Irish to San Francisco especially during its early period and the turn of the 20th century. She also discussed the current vibrant relationship between the San Francisco Bay Area and Ireland. Christopher Wiseman thanked Valerie and announced that 100 children would be inoculated against polio in her name.
