Since 1987, the Rotary Club of San Francisco has honored members of the City’s emergency services. Emergency Services Day is one of our signature events. In 2026, we will be recognizing once again the important and heroic work by members of the San Francisco Police Department, San Francisco Fire Department, San Francisco Sheriff's Office, and the United States Coast Guard — Pacific Area.

This year instead of holding the event at a Club luncheon, we will have an evening event on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Marines' Memorial Club and Hotel in San Francisco that will be open to members of all the Rotary clubs in San Francisco as well as to the public and community-based organizations in San Francisco.

We are reaching out now to Club Members to help with the following:

  1. Soliciting donations for hotel stays and dinners for our honorees. If you have contacts with hotels and/or restaurants in San Francisco, please consider helping with this effort.
  2. Promotion
    • Can you or someone you know develop promotional material including photos and video for distribution via social media?
    • Can you promote this event to other Rotary Clubs?
    • Do you have contacts with people, companies, and community organizations interested in supporting and attending this event?
  3. Closer to the event, we will need volunteers who can serve as agency hosts, help with set-up, decoration, registration, and the like. More information about these needs will be coming soon.
If you are available to help with any of the above or with the event as a whole, please contact me.
