Frank Yoke presented the allocations he recommended for the $22,384 District Designated Fund monies to be redistributed, because the difficulties with the Bangladesh District led to the termination of the Alliance for Smiles project. The Trustees approved unanimously the following redistributions:
$8,384 to Polio Plus
$2,500 to the Dysphagia project of the Rotary Club of San Francisco Castro.
$4,000 to the Digital Classroom Project in India of the Rotary Club of Burlingame.
$5,000 to the Excel Teachers Project in Israel
$2,500 to the Cement Aqueduct Project in Morocco of the Rotary Club of San Carlos.
Todd St Vrain reported that the Mission High School EMT Project would not be moving forward due to the large time commitment needed from volunteers. The Youth Services Committee recommended that the $4,500 from the Interact Rotaract grant and the $5,500 from the Mission High EMT grant be re-allocated to scholarships. This fund transfer, in combination with the $12,000 scholarships grant that was approved, would enable a total of $22,000 in scholarships this year. The Trustees unanimously approved the request to the San Francisco Rotary Foundation to allocate the $4,500 Interact Rotaract grant and the $5,500 Mission High EMT grant to fund scholarships in 2024. Bob Hermann would send the request to reallocate these funds to the President of the San Francisco Rotary Foundation.
