We have reached the last 2023 issue of Grindings and the end of another year. Looking back, it has been a busy year as our Club and most other Rotary clubs offered a lot of activities to do and at times, too many activities such that we had to make choices. In addition, there was work and travel, all pulling us in many directions. Still, we were all grateful to return to an active life as the pandemic was officially over.

In 2023, we also said goodbye to those near and dear, including Rotarians and in my case, family and long-time friends. Each helped us to grow, and continuing their work is our way of keeping their memory alive.

A piece of good news involves Grindings. Readership is increasing. See here.

Given such a good readership, it makes sense to promote your Rotary event in Grindings. Here are the guidelines:

  1. The deadline is every Thursday at 5 PM, and this will be a hard deadline so that I can get the issue of Grindings done in time for release on Sunday. If you miss the Thursday deadline, your story will appear in the following Sunday's issue or a future issue.
  2. Photos are welcome too, but photos alone without a story will not be published. I need a written explanation as well as identification of those in the photos. I am also following our Club's Photo Policy and Disclaimer: By attending events of the Rotary Club of San Francisco, you are giving to our Club your permission to publish photos of you as an attendee at our events. If you have questions about this policy, please contact sfrotary2@gmail.com.
  3. All stories and photos must be sent to me via email only. If you have any questions, please contact me.
I continue to enjoy serving as your Editor. Happy New Year!
