The Rotary Club of San Francisco met on December 16, 2025 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel for our Holiday Party and Annual Meeting. The Welcome Reception included a photo booth, a wine pull, a chance to spin the wheel and win a Rotary prize, displays by several of our community partners, and of course, champagne. Guests brought toys that were donated to the San Francisco firefighters.
 
President Frank Yoke welcomed 60 members, one honorary member, and 41 guests to the party and meeting. Rick Harrell then entertained us with a combined version of Jingle Bells and the Dreidel Song, and guests were encouraged to sing along.
 
President Frank introduced the following guests: John Barrett from the Rotary Club of San Mateo; Gary Butler from the Rotary Club of Ignacio; Dr. Angelo Capozzi from the Rotary Club of Tiburon-Belvedere and his wife, Louise; Larry Clark from the Boy Scouts of America; AG Adele Della Santina from the Rotary Club of Belmont-Redwood Shores; PDG Chris Gallagher from the West Bay Rotary Club of Camden in Maine; Frank Goodyear from the Rotary Club of San Rafael Marin Evening; DG Mitone Griffiths from the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay; Mary Kay Kennedy from the Rotary Club of Menlo Park; PDG Peter Lagarias from the Rotary Club of San Francisco; Melissa Prandi from the Rotary Club of Mission San Rafael; PDG Eric Schmautz from the Rotary Club of San Francisco; and Karen Schmautz from the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach in Florida.

New Bru Brunnier Fellows
Robin Azevedo on behalf of the San Francisco Rotary Foundation had the honor of surprising Allan Herzog and Harold Hoogasian with the Henry J. "Bru" Brunnier Award. In order to qualify for the award, at least $5,000 had to be pledged for each candidate. Click here for more information about the history of this Award. Congratulations, Allan and Harold!

December 2025 Rotarian of the Month: Congratulations to Stacey Poole who was honored as Rotarian of the Month for December 2025. Stacey has been a member of our Club since 2007 and has served as Club Secretary, Social Chair, and on several committees including the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and the Bylaws Committee.
 
Then, President Frank thanked the sponsors, the donors, and the Holiday Party Committee. Today's party could not have happened without the donation and/or volunteer work of each of the following:

Upcoming Events
President Frank distributed a handout showing many of the upcoming events and meetings for our Club through the end of the current Rotary year.
 
Surprise Visitor
We had a special guest from the North Pole — Santa (Jim Patrick) who predicted that the 49ers would be in the 2026 Super Bowl and invited us all to the Club's Super Bowl Party on February 8, 2026. Check back on www.sfrotary.org to sign up.
