Rotary Club of San Francisco
Immediate Past President Mary Liu called the June 27, 2023 Board meeting to order at 4:04 PM. Stacey Poole, Secretary, recorded the minutes.
In attendance were Gary Dales, Frank Yoke, Maureen O’Shea, Emily Borland, Lisa Christian, Mary Liu, Sunny Singh, Margaret Miley, Scott Plakun, Brian Lan, and Stacey Poole, constituting a quorum. Absent were President Christopher Wiseman, Jeff Lerner, and Wendy Shew. Also in attendance were incoming Board members Nancy Graydon, Dan Davies, Bob Hermann, and Ozan Yasavur.

The Board approved the May 23, 2023 minutes.
Treasurer's Report
Treasurer Gary Dales reviewed the May 2023 Financial Statements; the Board approved these Financial Statements.
Administrative Matters
First Board Meeting for 2023-2024: The first Board Meeting for the 2023-2024 Rotary year will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 via Zoom starting at 4 PM.
Meeting with District Governor Laine Hendricks: DG Laine Hendricks will meet with the Board at a Special Board Meeting scheduled for January 23, 2024. The Tuesday luncheon will immediately follow, and DG Laine will also speak to those attending the luncheon.
News from Development Committee: Vice President of Development Maureen O'Shea announced that three new members had joined the Development Committee. She also talked about the plan for four "ask" parties in the coming Rotary year. Jim Patrick will lead the Super Bowl fundraiser once again.
New Business
Membership: Vice President of Membership Margaret Miley presented two candidates for the Board to consider. The Board considered Bridget Mahoney who would join as part of our corporate member - Catholic Charities SF - and Hana Xu Wang, a former member of our Club who now wished to rejoin us. The Board approved Bridget Mahoney and Hana Xu Wang for membership.
Honorary Membership: The Board considered and approved Les Andersen and Senator Dianne Feinstein for honorary membership effective July 1, 2023.
There being no further business, the Club meeting was adjourned at 4:52 PM.
