A Recap of the Past Few Weeks
As our Club had not held a luncheon for a couple of weeks, President Mary gave us a recap of events that had transpired. First was the District 5150 Up and Up Away with EREY Gala that raised $68,000 to end polio.

Then, there was Thanksgiving with The Arc San Francisco. We certainly did not let COVID take away our ability to provide meals for this holiday. Many thanks to Eric Schmautz (Banking: Management | Wells Fargo) who was in charge of the food. Speaking of Thanksgiving, President Mary shared photos of how Club members celebrated on this day.

Upcoming Events
The Holiday Party and Annual Meeting will take place on December 14, 2021. President Mary reminded everyone to bring an unwrapped gift for kids to support the San Francisco Fire Department's toy drive.

President Mary shared the upcoming line-up of speakers, service projects, and events. See the Club's calendar to register and more details.

December Birthdays
Today's audience celebrated our members who have a birthday in December

Guest Speaker
Ann Daugherty introduced today's Guest Speaker - Bill Yenne. Today happened to be the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Bill discussed what DID happen after Pearl Harbor when the other shoe fell on the West Coast. He shared images of the planning Japan had done for a possible attack on San Francisco, primarily focused on destroying airplane manufacturers. He also shared how the United States was not prepared to handle such an attack on the West Coast.

President Mary thanked Bill and announced that 100 children would be inoculated against polio in his name.
