Thought of the Day
Jim Patrick (Retail: Office Supplies | Patrick & Co.) read today's Thought of the Day by President Bob: "Every new leader brings a chance to shape a future brighter than the past. Embrace the journey with courage, trust your vision with hope, and lead with kindness. Honor the paths other have taken, even if they differ from your own. In doing so, you'll inspire hearts as well as minds to walk beside you and open the doors to creativity."

New Paul Harris Fellow
Paul Harris (1868-1947) founded the first Rotary Club in Chicago in 1905, hoping to bring some of what he treasured from his rural Vermont upbringing to the big city. Rotary would not exist without his vision of a group of business professionals who helped each other by helping others. For each $1,000 donated to The Rotary Foundation, a person can become a Paul Harris Fellow. Congratulations to Past President Christopher Wiseman (San Francisco Rotary Foundation) who received his PHF + 6 pin and who recently completed a trip around the world.
Flag Exchange
Visiting Rotarian and Past President Reagan Weaver presented a flag from the Rotary Club of Raleigh, North Carolina to President Bob. Reagan was honored to be attending this meeting of the Second Oldest Rotary Club in the world.

Thank You
President Bob thanked his Board of Directors, the Club's Technology Team, and all of the Club's members for their support during his year as President. He particularly thanked his spouse, Dan Joraanstad, for the support, patience, and partnership. President Bob reminded the Club that he had started the year with a retreat where the Board built prosthetic hands. This was particularly meaningful to Bob whose grandfather did not have hands. President Bob concluded with a slideshow highlighting the people and activities that made the 2024-2025 Rotary year so special.
A Toast
President-Elect Nominee Ozan Yasavur (Engineering: Mechanical | Frank M. Booth, Inc.) led a toast for President Bob. PEN Ozan listed President Bob's accomplishments during the 2024-2025 Rotary year and explained how President Bob had quickly helped to resolve an issue involving an international service project that he (Ozan) was sponsoring. PEN Ozan praised President Bob for having outstanding leadership and organizational skills as well as a big heart. Others in the audience then toasted President Bob, noting his kindness, inclusivity, and unwavering support. The toast concluded when President Bob was awarded a plaque, a gift basket, and a gift certificate for brunch.
