Today's visiting Rotarian was Mary Kay Kennedy from the Rotary Club of Menlo Park; Mary Kay is the wife of Jim Kennedy (Interior Design | James Kennedy Design). Ozan Yasavur (Engineering: Mechanical | Bioforcetech Corporation) introduced his wife, Merve. Other in-person guests were Victoria Lozano, Angelina Preza, and today's speaker, Shawn Rosenmoss. Online our guest was Dr. Hollis Pierce-Jenkins.

President Mary invited members to share their “wins for the week”.
Wendy Shew (Nonprofit Administration | Building Education) invited everyone to her fundraising event on May 7, 2022 for Building Education, which builds schools in Nepal.
Anita Stangl (Medical Services | Alliance for Smiles) gave a recap of the Gala for Alliance for Smiles on April 30, 2022 and thanked the many members of our Club who volunteered that evening to make the Gala a success.

National Pet Month
May is National Pet Month and guests were invited to share personal stories of their pets.
Guest Speaker
Andrés Vera (Entertainment | Self-employed) introduced today's speaker - Shawn Rosenmoss from the Department of the Environment. Shawn discussed San Francisco’s recently released 2021 Climate Action Plan. San Francisco’s climate and environmental achievements include 100% renewable electrical energy from CleanPowerSF, public transportation upgrades and bike lanes, expansion of electric car charging stations, and new residential construction that is energy efficient. President Mary thanked Shawn and announced that 100 children would be inoculated against polio in her name.Our next meeting on May 10, 2022 is a Zoom-only meeting. Today's meeting was adjourned at 1:30 p.m.
