President Sunny Singh (Financial Services: Advising | PK Wealth Management) called today's meeting to order at 12:15 PM and welcomed those online and those attending in person at the Anzu Restaurant in the Hotel Nikko.
Senator Dianne Feinstein
President Sunny paid tribute to our member and US Senator Dianne Feinstein who passed away in her Georgetown brownstone on September 29, 2023. While mayor of San Francisco, she was among one of the first four women inducted into our Club. See more information on Senator Feinstein here.
Visiting Another Rotary Club
Ozan Yasavur (Engineering: Mechanical | Bioforcetech Corporation) shared his experience visiting the Rotary Club of Burlingame at the Carolands Chateau. Ozan followed his share with a call for Club Service volunteers to help with registration and other duties.
International Service Project
Frank Yoke (Development | Frank Yoke Consulting) gave an update to the Club on the Bolivia Cervical Cancer Screening and Vaccination Clinic coming up the last week of January 2024. Reach out to Frank if you would like to go.

Frank Yoke thanked members who have given to The Rotary Foundation (TRF). It is not too late to join the campaign this year by giving directly to TRF or making a commitment to the 50/50 campaign. Any amount is appreciated!
September 2023 Rotarian of the Month
President Sunny announced that Alisha Marfatia (Information Technology: E-Commerce | EvolveWare) is the Rotarian of the Month for September 2023. Alisha was recognized for arranging the fantastic social events that many of us have enjoyed. Every event so far has been well organized and fun! Congratulations and thank you to Alisha!

Guest SpeakerMary Liu introduced today's speaker - Courtney McCrea, who is a member of the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association, Nevada and California Chapter. She encouraged us to learn and recognize the signs of the disease and to talk to our doctor early. There are many new treatment options. And for those diagnosed, the Alzheimer's Association has support resources available. President Sunny thanked Courtney and announced that 100 children would be inoculated against polio in her name.
The meeting concluded with Mary Liu sharing her husband's battle with Alzheimer's. Robin Azevedo (Retail: Mattresses | Retired, McRoskey Mattress Company) on behalf of the San Francisco Rotary Foundation presented a $3,000 check to the Alzheimer's Association ahead of the walk on November 4, 2023.
