Today's Visiting Rotarians were Cristina Aquino from the Rotary Club of South San Francisco, Past District 5150 Governor Russ Ketron from the Rotary Club of Novato, Hugh Murphy from the Rotary Club of San Rafael Harbor, and Douglas Person from the Rotary Club of Burlingame Hillsborough. Today's guests were Kathy Ketron, Tim Tucker, and Vanessa Wellmann. Welcome to all!
Four-Way Test Award
Robin Azevedo (Retail: Mattresses | Retired, McRoskey Mattress Company) introduced Tom Brunner (Non-Profit Management | Glaucoma Research Foundation). Tom joined our Club in 2004 and has provided over two decades of generous support and leadership not only in our Club but also in the San Francisco Rotary Foundation (SFRF). President Frank awarded the Four-Way Test plaque to Tom. Congratulations and thank you to Tom!
Allan Herzog (Financial Services: Advising | Wells Fargo Advisors) donated $1,100 to set up a SFRF Fund in honor of Tom Brunner if others in today's audience would match him. Hands went up immediately, and the Fund raised $2,500. Thank you to Allan!

United Nation's 80th Anniversary
Save the date of Thursday, December 11, 2025 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the 1945 signing of the United Nations Charter in San Francisco. Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo will be present in San Francisco for this Celebration, and you are all invited.

Guest Speakers
Speaker Committee Chair Larry Booth (Engineering: Mechanical | Retired, Frank M. Booth, Inc.) introduced Cristina Aquino from the Rotary Club of South San Francisco, Past District 5150 Governor Russ Ketron from the Rotary Club of Novato, and Hugh Murphy from the Rotary Club of San Rafael Harbor who talked about Rotary's progress to end polio in the world. Hugh Murphy is the District 5150 PolioPlus Chair, and Cristina Aquino is the District 5150 PolioPlus Society Chair. PDG Russ Ketron is a polio survivor and shared his experience. Cristina Aquino shared her family's battle with polio and its effects.
President Frank thanked Cristina Aquino, PDG Russ Ketron, and Hugh Murphy and announced that 100 children would be inoculated against polio in their name.

Auction of Basketballs Signed by Rick Barry
A bonus at today's meeting was the auction of two special commemorative basketballs signed by Warriors Legend and NBA Hall of Famer, Rick Barry. Past President Jim Patrick (Retail: Office Supplies | Patrick & Co.) led a fierce and spirited auction, and $2,800 was raised for the PolioPlus Fund at The Rotary Foundation. The winners of the basketballs were Cristina Aquino and Larry Booth. Congratulations to both!
