Rotary Club of San Francisco
President Christopher Wiseman called the March 28, 2023 Board meeting to order at 4:02 PM. Stacey Poole, Secretary, recorded the minutes.
In attendance were President Christopher, Gary Dales, Frank Yoke, Maureen O’Shea, Emily Borland, Lisa Christian, Scott Plakun, Mary Liu, Sunny Singh, Margaret Miley, Brian Lan, and Stacey Poole, constituting a quorum. Absent were Wendy Shew and Jeff Lerner. The invited guests were Ozan Yasavur and Charlie Miles.

The Board approved the February 28, 2023 minutes.
Administrative Matters
President Christopher gave an update on his engagements. He reported that the District Assembly went well and congratulated President-Elect Sunny Singh. President Christopher reminded all to attend the District Conference on April 28-30, 2023.
Vice President of Development Maureen O'Shea announced that the Development Committee was planning the next Fashion Show and a Calling Party to solicit donations.
Treasurer's Report
Treasurer Gary Dales presented the February 2023 Financial Statements; the Board approved these Financial Statements.
New Business
Membership: Vice President of Membership Margaret Miley presented three candidates for the Board to consider. The Board approved Donna Duensing, Andrea Gung, and Nikki Moore for membership.
Youth Services: Vice President of Youth Development Lisa Christian gave an update on RYLA that will be held from July 31, 2023 to August 4, 2023. Applications are 300% greater than last year; almost 100 participants have already registered.
PDG Eric Schmautz: The Board nominated Eric Schmautz to serve as District 5150 Representative to the Rotary International Council on Resolutions and Council on Legislation for the 2023-2026 cycle. The election for this position will take place at the 2023 Annual Business Meeting during the District Conference on April 29, 2023.
Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY): The Board considered options to meet the EREY requirement.
Club Website Refresh: Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scott Plakun and new Club member and website developer Charlie Miles discussed the refresh of our Club's website. Scott and Charlie considered and accepted suggestions as to what should be changed on the current website.
Wine Donation: President Christopher gave an update on how to manage the wine donation.
First Five Rotary Clubs' International Service Project: Vice President of International Service Frank Yoke discussed this international service project which involves educating women on human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Our Club had previously donated $5,000 to this project. The Rotary Club of Los Angeles is taking the lead and circulating the MOU.
There being no further business, the Club meeting was adjourned at 5:04 PM.

Bikes for Bike Build: The Board discussed and approved a payment of $13,564 to Huffy Bikes for the bikes to be assembled and donated at the May 6, 2023 Rotary Club of San Francisco Bike Build.
