Rotary Club of San Francisco
President Frank Yoke called the meeting via Zoom to order at 4:05 p.m. on March 24, 2026. Secretary Dora Dye recorded the minutes. In attendance were Gary Dales, Ann Daugherty, Dora Dye, Stephen Geisheker, Tim Hornbecker, Margaret Miley, Maureen O’Shea, Hana Xu Wang, Darlene Wilson, Ozan Yasavur, and President Frank Yoke, constituting a quorum. Our guests were Thomas Estruth and Sunny Singh. Absent were Bob Hermann, Stellie Kim, and Wendy Shew.
Approval of Board Minutes
The Board approved the February 24, 2026 meeting minutes.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gary Dales presented the Balance Sheet, the outstanding dues to date, and the Statement of Operations through March 24, 2026 for the Rotary Club of San Francisco. Regarding outstanding dues, the goal is to collect all outstanding dues. The Board then approved the March 2026 Treasurer’s Report as presented.
Estate Beneficiary
Our Club has been named as a beneficiary in the estate of a past member. A property located in Palm Springs, California that was part of the estate recently sold, and a distribution to our Club is expected.
Partnership with San Francisco Chamber of Commerce
Sunny Singh updated the Board on the plan to partner with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
2026 District Assembly
President Frank reported that 23 members from our Club attended the District Assembly on March 21, 2026.
2026-2027 Public Relations and New Technology
Thomas Estruth has been appointed to fill the vacancy for 2026-2027 Vice President of Public Relations/Public Image beginning July 1, 2026. He joined today’s meeting to talk about new technology to be launched so our Club can share information on social media effectively and efficiently. He talked about using Google Suite, Slack, and Buffer along with other tools. Training for all members will be provided. In the meantime, Dan Davies has agreed to promote this year’s Emergency Services Day.
Membership
- The Board reviewed the membership applications for Basil Bernstein, Joseph Cresalia, Sherri Ferris, Rodney Fong, and Mike Zwiefelhofer.
- The Board approved Basil Bernstein for individual membership; both Joseph Cresalia and Sherri Ferris for corporate membership with Roots of Peace; and Rodney Fong and Mike Zwiefelhofer for membership through our partnership with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.

Proposed Changes to the Bylaws of Rotary Service, Inc.
Trustee Gary Dales described the work of the Bylaws Committee to update the Bylaws of Rotary Service, Inc. and explained how the proposed changes would clarify the role and function of Rotary Service, Inc. The Board will vote on the Bylaw changes in April 2026.

Treasurer Gary Dales presented the Balance Sheet, the receivables, and the Statement of Activity through March 24, 2026 for Rotary Service, Inc. The Trustees then approved the Treasurer’s Report as presented.
