Rotary Club of San Francisco
President Frank Yoke called the meeting via Zoom to order at 4:04 p.m. on November 18, 2025. Secretary Dora Dye recorded the minutes. In attendance were Gary Dales, Ann Daugherty, Dora Dye, Stephen Geisheker, Bob Hermann, Tim Hornbecker, Margaret Miley, Maureen O’Shea, Hana Xu Wang, Darlene Wilson, Ozan Yasavur, and President Frank Yoke, constituting a quorum. Absent were Stellie Kim and Wendy Shew. Our guest was David Dye.
 
Approval of October 2025 Board Minutes
The Board approved the October 28, 2025 meeting minutes.
 
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gary Dales presented the Balance Sheet, the outstanding dues to date, and the Statement of Operations through October 31, 2025 for the Rotary Club of San Francisco. The Board approved the Treasurer’s Report.
 
Candidates for Rotarian of the Month
The Board selected the Rotarians of the Month for December 2025, January 2026, February 2026, and March 2026. The Board nominated Robin Azevedo for District 5150 Rotarian of the Month.
 
Bru Brunnier Donations
The Board discussed the amount raised to date for the Bru Brunnier program.
 
San Francisco Chamber of Commerce
The member exchange with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce has been approved. Details will follow on how this exchange will work.
 
Membership
Vice President Margaret Miley proposed the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank for corporate membership. The Board approved the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank for corporate membership.
 
Report from Nominating Committee
President-Elect Ozan Yasavur reported that the Committee had completed its work and found a candidate for each open position.
 
Veterans' Day 2025
The Board agreed that the luncheon held on November 11, 2025 (Veterans’ Day) where Veterans were invited and celebrated was a success.
 
Board Changes in 2026-2027
President Frank announced that Dora Dye will not continue as Club Secretary beginning July 1, 2026 in order to carry out a role in District 5150. Stacey Poole will be our Club Secretary in 2026-2027. Wendy Shew will not continue as Vice President of Public Relations/Public Image; Thomas Estruth will be our Vice President of Public Relations/Public Image. The Board approved Stacey Poole as Club Secretary and Thomas Estruth as Vice President of Public Relations/Public Image in the 2026-2027 Rotary year.
 
DDF Allocations
President Frank discussed our DDF allocations. This year, we allocated our DDF as follows:
  • $10,000 as part of the District 5150 Grant to the Bike Build.
  • $7,000 to the Antakya drinking water storage tank project in Türkiye.
  • $5,000 to the Rotary-EXCEL Teacher-Training Institute with the Jerusalem Peacebuilders.
  • $2,000 to disaster relief in Jamaica.
  • $2,792 to Polio Plus.
 
Youth Protection
Club Member and District 5150 Youth Protection Officer David Dye joined to talk about Rotary’s commitment to keep youth safe! Rotary International has established comprehensive guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of youth involved in Rotary programs and has zero tolerance for any violation of these guidelines. Anyone who works with youth must be Youth Protection Certified.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
