Rotary Service, Inc.
The Trustees of Rotary Service, Inc. met on October 29, 2024 via Zoom. President Bob Hermann called the meeting to order at 4:05 PM. Nancy Graydon, Secretary, recorded the minutes.
In attendance were Gary Dales, Stephen Geisheker, Tim Hornbecker, Bridget Mahoney, Maureen O’Shea, President Bob Hermann, Immediate Past President Sunny Singh, Nancy Graydon, Darlene Wilson, Ozan Yasavur, Christopher Wiseman, and President-Elect Frank Yoke, constituting a quorum. Absent were: Dan Davies, Margaret Miley, and Todd St Vrain. Our guests were JT Forbus and Executive Secretary Dora Dye.
Minutes
The Trustees approved the amended July 23, 2024 Service, Inc. minutes as follows:
- A unanimous vote to approve Club Board members as Trustees of Rotary Service, Inc., effective July 1, 2024
- A unanimous vote to approve retroactively all decisions and/or motions made by Trustees of Rotary Service Inc., beginning on July 1, 2024.
The Trustees approved the September 24, 2024 minutes.
Financial Report
Treasurer Gary Dales reviewed the financial report and noted the cash balance of $96,380 and the net asset balance of $94,226. He outlined the expenses, leaving the functional cash balance of $1,254 and the net asset balance of $1,360. With a net deficit of $30,405.04, Gary recommended several ways to shore up the cash balance and net assets.

Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gary Dales reviewed the financial reports and noted that the Club is in a strong financial position with net assets of $121,706 and a cash balance of $89,719.
The Board unanimously approved the Treasurer's Report as presented.
Youth Services
On behalf of Todd St Vrain, President Bob provided an update on Youth Services. David Dye will lead Youth Scholarships. Shadowing David will be Kayla Trunecek. Recruitment for someone to lead Interact has begun.

Global Grant Updates
President Bob provided an update on the GG1867988 India Water Project that was delayed due to COVID-19. He noted that this Project is now completed, and the $21,000 remaining from the Project has been spent. President Bob added that the final report is forthcoming in November.

President Bob provided an update on the GG2457119 Turkey Clean Water grant and noted that additional funds will be allocated, including $6,000 from the South San Francisco Rotary Club and its Foundation. President-Elect Frank Yoke added that additional funding is being pursued.
Club Meeting Update
President Bob announced that going forward, the Club will have two lunch meetings at the Hotel Nikko and one evening meeting at MoMo’s.
District 5150 Updates
- There will be an optional yellow pages assembly to promote networking and member businesses.
- The Rotary Club of Daly City/Colma has closed.
- The average club size in our District is 26.
- Some clubs are dropping the use of classifications on member badges.
Rotarian of the Month
The Board selected La Carre Ivy and one other person to be identified at a future Club meeting in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the operations of our Club.

Membership
Vice President of Membership Margaret Miley presented Anil Bhargava for membership. The Board approved Anil Bhargava as a new member of our Club.
