This past weekend, our very own Club President Ozan received a VIP welcome as he represented the Rotary Club of San Francisco at the annual Scottish Gathering & Games at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton!

Hosted by the Caledonian Club of San Francisco, this celebrated tradition is one of the largest Highland gatherings in the world —and President Ozan experienced it in true grand style. He was personally welcomed by 1st Chieftain Alex Sinclair, who hosted Ozan in the official skybox and led him on an insider tour of the grounds to meet and connect with fellow Clan Chieftains throughout the day.

From the premier view in the skybox to the bustling festival field, Ozan took in the incredible sights and sounds of the day — including world-class bagpipe competitions, Scottish Highland Dance, and iconic Highland athletics.

Rotary fellowship was in full swing throughout the games! Ozan caught up with Vice President of Public Relations Thomas Estruth, as well as fellow Rotarians Todd St Vrain and Emily Borland, who were enjoying the festivities as ticket holders.

It was a wonderful day to foster fellowship, connect with regional civic leaders, and share the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self with leaders across the Bay Area's diverse cultural communities.

Thank you to 1st Chieftain Alex Sinclair for his extraordinary hospitality and to President Ozan for representing our Club with such warmth and enthusiasm! Be sure to ask President Ozan about his skybox experience at our next Club meeting.
