Five members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco volunteered on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 3 PM to 6 PM at Family House, a nonprofit organization that provides free housing and support to families with children receiving medical care at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
Rotarians prepared and served a do-it-yourself taco and bowl dinner that fed 70 residents. Leftover food was packaged and used to stock the refrigerators so residents could enjoy it at another time. Volunteers also cleaned the kitchen and dining areas and helped maintain a welcoming space for families in the community kitchen.
Christopher Wiseman led this service project. Joining him were Darlene Wilson, Eric Orantes, Alisha Marfatia, and Todd St Vrain. This was the second of two service projects completed with Family House in the 2025-2026 Rotary year and marks the third year the Rotary Club of San Francisco has partnered with Family House. The San Francisco Rotary Foundation had awarded a $6,000 grant to Family House to further its mission of providing compassionate care at no cost to families in need.
