On Saturday, September 7, 2024, the following members of our Club: Elizabeth Driskill, President Bob Hermann, Dan Joraanstad, and Emily Borland along with three non-Rotarians volunteered at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.
We partook in assembling dry goods for families and seniors across two counties. The Food Bank divided the group into different sections to work on an assembly line. Our tasks included assembling boxes, restocking dry food cans and grains for the front assembly team, packing food, moving boxes, and organizing pallets.
The morning was spent around good company and hard-working individuals. The entire volunteer group packed 18 1/2 pallets with 82 boxes and 26,880 lbs of dried goods, which were sent out to seniors and families across San Francisco and Marin. We look forward to our continued partnership with the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.
