The Rotary Club of San Francisco continued its long-standing tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving by providing a warm holiday meal to the participants of The Arc San Francisco. This year, a total of 470 meals were prepared for both The Arc participants and staff at their San Francisco and Burlingame Centers, ensuring that everyone could experience the joy of a festive Thanksgiving meal.

Leading this special project was Past President of the Rotary Club of San Francisco and Past District 5150 Governor, Eric Schmautz, along with John Scopazzi from the Rotary Club of San Rafael. Together, they organized the preparation of hot, delicious meals with a Thanksgiving theme for those in need from The Arc community facing food insecurity. Larry Booth, Sue Robbins, and Todd St Vrain joined PDG Eric and John to do the cooking.

A special shout-out goes to Dan Joraanstad, whose expert project management ensured that the event went off without a hitch. Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, the event was a resounding success, and a great time was had by all.

This event not only provided a festive meal, but also strengthened the bonds between the Rotary Club of San Francisco and The Arc San Francisco community. The Rotary Club of San Francisco continues to demonstrate the true spirit of Service Above Self, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those whom they serve.
