Rotary Club of San Francisco
President Frank Yoke called the meeting via Zoom to order at 4:05 p.m. on September 23, 2025. Secretary Dora Dye recorded the minutes.
In attendance were Gary Dales, Ann Daugherty, Dora Dye, Stephen Geisheker, Bob Hermann, Tim Hornbecker, Margaret Miley, Maureen O’Shea, Darlene Wilson, and President Frank Yoke, constituting a quorum. Absent were Stellie Kim, Wendy Shew, Hana Xu Wang, and Ozan Yasavur. Our guest was Sunny Singh.
Approval of August 2025 Board Minutes
The Board approved the August 27, 2025 meeting minutes.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gary Dales presented the Balance Sheet, the outstanding dues to date, and the Statement of Operations through August 31, 2025 for the Rotary Club of San Francisco. The Board approved the September 23, 2025 Treasurer’s Report.
Candidates for Rotarian of the Month
The Board discussed the Rotarians of the Month selected for September, October, and November 2025.
RCAT Funding
The Board approved the funding of $500 for bus transportation for participants to attend RCAT’s current project — Save the Bay to help restore our San Francisco Bay Shoreline on November 14, 2025.
Basketball Fundraiser
President Frank was pleased to announce that on September 16, 2025, the Club raised $2,800 for the PolioPlus Fund via the auction of two commemorative basketballs signed by Warriors Legend and NBA Hall of Famer, Rick Barry.
Upcoming Club Events
President Frank shared plans to include Member Moments and Committee Activities and Highlights in future Club meetings. An Oversight Board is being formed to oversee the operation of RYLA.
Club Calendar
- President Frank shared upcoming events and priorities. He called on the Board to calendar all events and service projects in order to maximize member participation.
- Past President Sunny Singh received permission to contact our membership and invite everyone to a San Francisco Chamber of Commerce event on October 9, 2025.
- President Frank talked about Club Socials scheduled on October 22 and November 19.
- President Frank talked about our Club’s role when Rotary commemorates the United Nations at 80 in San Francisco on December 11, 2025.
Committee Reports
All Board members were encouraged to read the written Committee Reports that were included in today’s Board packet.
