On April 11, 2023, members of our Club gathered at the home of Betty Newman to celebrate Passover with a traditional evening Seder, the special meal in which family and friends gather to retell (often in Hebrew) the story of how the Jews had fled from slavery in Egypt approximately 3,400 years ago. Those who celebrate Passover share stories of past Seders and think about how the redemption of the Jews from slavery so many years ago obligates us to build a better world.

Vern Glenn, Sportscaster, CBS Bay Area KPIX 5, San Francisco, will speak on sports in the Bay Area. He has worked as a sports reporter and a multimedia journalist and is a four-time Emmy® Award winner for Best Sportscaster.
Come and support Club member Peter Logan and his Band, the 12th Root of Two, in the 9th Annual Law Rocks Competition! They will be competing against seven other bands for the top spot. Peter and his Band will also be fundraising for St. Anthony's and the Blue Bear School of Music, so make sure to select these beneficiaries when purchasing your ticket. Tickets are $45 for General Admission and $120 for VIP Admission. All attendees must be age 21 or over.
Join us to assemble and package food for distribution at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. The need for volunteers at the Food Bank continues to be great as our community recovers from financial and food insecurities. Register early as the number of volunteers is limited to 15 for safety reasons.
Lisa Mirza Grotts, a respected authority on etiquette and a former Director of Protocol, joins us to pay tribute to Charlotte Shultz. Ms. Shultz was the Chief of Protocol for the state of California and the Chief of Protocol for the City and County of San Francisco and a former member of our Club.
Come and enjoy the fun at our 13th Annual Bike Build event! We'll be assembling 150 brand new bikes for distribution to kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade in the Bayview area of San Francisco. Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, partner organizations, friends, and family are all welcome.
Join us for this year's Rotary Day of Service at Bison Paddock in Golden Gate Park. The day includes clean-up projects, lithium battery recycling, eyeglass recycling, an Environmental Exhibitor Fair, and an Electric Vehicles and eBike show. This is a family-friendly and dog-friendly event. Advanced registration is required.

Lauren Kivowitz will share about the background that led to founding Inclusive Arts and discuss some of the exciting projects that she has participated in, including working with the American Conservatory Theater to develop the first ever sensory-friendly performance in San Francisco. Lauren will also share some background context about language, neurodiversity, and where ableism exists in the arts, and offer practical tips for how we can actively reflect on building more inclusive practices into our work and lives.
