E-MEETING: Jessica Hansen and Alliance for Smiles

Jessica Hansen joins us on this free, Zoom-only meeting to discuss Alliance for Smiles. Alliance for Smiles just held its 100th surgical mission in Guayaquil, Ecuador over the past week and is closing in on its 20th year in operation (since its founding in this Rotary Club). Hear some of the stories of children and their families who journeyed vast distances for lifesaving and life-changing operations. You will also hear about the fantastic team of volunteers and their transformative impact on some amazing children's lives, which was made possible through the support of many members of this Club and the continued support of Rotary.
In addition to being Executive Director at Alliance for Smiles (an international medical nonprofit that provides free life-changing surgeries to children with cleft lips and palates and training/equipment to the local medical teams who serve them), Jessica Hansen is also a TEDx Speaker, a Senior Strategist at Impact Travel Alliance, Vice President of the Board of the West Africa Voluntary Organization, and host of The HumanKind Project podcast. Jessica has been a member of the Rotary Club of San Francisco since 2020.
Jessica also serves on the Board of Directors of her Burning Man camp, Mystopia. She currently leads their RIDE initiative, which stands for “Radical Inclusion, Diversity & Equity” and is part of their Sustainability team, helping to build solar grids to power the camp and its projects.
