It may be settled science that we are experiencing human-induced climate change, but the climate debate is far from over. In fact, the real debate has barely begun: how do we respond to climate change, as individuals, as communities, as nations and ultimately as a planetary civilization? Our survival depends upon the answer, and the answer depends upon how the debate is framed. Rotarians could well play a critical role in framing that debate.
Paul Saffo studies the dynamics of large-scale, long-term technological change and holds degrees from Harvard, Cambridge, and Stanford, where he is an Adjunct Professor and Chair of Future Studies.
This event is sponsored by the Rotary Climate Action Team (RCAT) Network. The mission of the Network is to provide a unique place for Rotarians to learn about the climate crisis and share individual, club, business and community actions.
