Can you rewire the brain just by taking a breath?
Free the Mind is a fascinating documentary that explores how the practices of Buddhist monks, including meditation and yoga, can physically modify the brains of veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress and children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
Stellie Kim, a psychologist and a member of the Rotary Club of San Francisco, will lead a discussion after the film.
This 80-minute film is not rated. It will be shown in English without subtitles.
This event is sponsored by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committees of the Rotary Club of San Francisco and of District 5150.
Sign up now! Space is limited and registration is available through November 14. The ticket price of $20 includes the film, snacks, beverages, plus dinner and discussion after the film.
