Aditi Desai will talk about the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) and its mission to accelerate science and deliver transformative regenerative medicine treatments equitably to California and the world.
Aditi Desai is the Community Outreach Manager for CIRM. She grew up in Orlando, Florida; went to college at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia; and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biochemistry. She then attended University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida and received a Master of Public Health degree. While there, she volunteered with the U.S. Peace Corps in Uganda, working in health education, promotion, and outreach.
Improving access to healthcare for marginalized communities is Aditi's passion. Her work is developing and implementing community-based programs for public health education and health promotion and promoting CIRM programs in her role as Community Outreach Manager.
This is a regular membership meeting of the Rotary Club of San Francisco, open to all Rotarians, visiting Rotarians, prospective members, and guests. Meeting Schedule: |

For in-person attendees: We welcome all attendees! The in-person registration cost for all adults and children is $45 until 11:59 AM on Friday, November 1, 2024. The meeting cost increases to $60 at noon and beyond on November 1, 2024 and includes any walk-ins on Tuesday, November 5.
The Hotel Nikko holds us to the headcount that we submit on Friday at noon, prior to our Tuesday meeting, whether those registered attend or not. In Rotary spirit, thanks for helping us to maintain a good relationship with our host hotel.
For attendance via Zoom: For those who wish to participate via Zoom, there is a $15 fee to attend.
Parking: If you are driving to the Hotel Nikko for this meeting, please leave your car with the Hotel Nikko valet. Pick up a validation sticker available at our check-in table. The discounted parking is $25 for three hours.
