ROTARY LUNCHEON: Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia - What You Need to Know

Courtney McCrea will discuss the definition of Alzheimer's disease and dementia, Healthy Brain Habits, resources for families living with Alzheimer's disease, recent breakthroughs in treatments, and how Rotary members can engage in the fight to End Alzheimer's.

Courtney is a member of the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association, Nevada and California Chapter. She was previously an Alzheimer’s Association ambassador and volunteer working to advance policy initiatives with both U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein's and Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s offices. Courtney’s father passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2015.

Courtney lives in San Francisco with her husband, two young children, and one large dog. When not volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Association, Courtney is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Recast Capital, a platform supporting and investing in emerging managers in venture.

Courtney has an M.B.A., with honors, from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

For in-person attendees: The cost for in-person registration (including children) is $45 if you register early until 11:59 AM on Friday, September 29, 2023. When the clock strikes noon on Friday, September 29, 2023, the price will go up to $60. If you show up at the door on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 as a walk-in, you will be charged $60. Please note that once Past President Mary Liu provides the headcount to the Hotel Nikko on the Friday before our Tuesday meeting, we will be billed for that count regardless of whether you show or not. 

For attendance via Zoom: For those who wish to participate via Zoom, there is a $10 fee to attend.

Parking: If you are driving to the Hotel Nikko for this meeting, please leave your car with the Hotel Nikko valet. Pick up a validation sticker available at our check-in table. The discounted parking is $17.50 for three hours.
