ROTARY LUNCHEON: Louis Briscese — Travis Air Force Base and the Bay Area military

Louis Briscese, Chief of Community Engagement with the 60th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs Office at Travis Air Force Base, California, joins us to share Travis Air Force Base history and its relationship with the Bay Area military makeup. 

Mr. Briscese holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University in Irvine, CA. He is a retired Senior Master Sergeant and served on active duty for 28 years. A New Jersey native, Mr. Briscese entered the Air Force as a still photographic specialist and served a variety of multimedia and leadership positions. He performed as a base, combat, and forensic photographer, as well as Superintendent of the Presidential Photo Lab while serving at the White House. Additionally, he won Military Photographer of the Year, News Category in 1995 and deployed in support of Operations JOINT ENDEAVOR, NORTHERN WATCH, and IRAQI FREEDOM.

• The in-person registration cost for all members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco is $45 until 11:59 AM on Friday, October 2, 2026. The meeting cost increases to $60 at noon and beyond on October 2, 2026 and includes any walk-ins on Tuesday, October 6. 
• The in-person registration cost for all Visiting Rotarians and Guests is $60.

The Hotel Nikko holds us to the headcount that we submit on Friday at noon, prior to our Tuesday meeting, whether those registered attend or not. In Rotary spirit, thanks for helping us to maintain a good relationship with our host hotel. 

For attendance via Zoom: For those who wish to participate via Zoom, there is a $15 fee to attend.

Parking: If you are driving to the Hotel Nikko for this meeting, please leave your car with the Hotel Nikko valet. Pick up a validation sticker available at our check-in table. The discounted parking is $25 for three hours.
