SFJAZZ explores the full spectrum of jazz—from its origins in the African American and Afro Caribbean communities, to its diverse and evolving expressions around the world today. Mark Malaspina of SFJAZZ joins us to share their mission and vision. He will be joined by a group of student musicians who will perform a few select pieces of jazz.
Mark Malaspina serves as a Donor Services Officer for SFJAZZ, having worked as a Front of the House Manager for the organization since 2017. Over the course of his career, Mark has been a fundraising consultant for arts organizations such as the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, SFMOMA, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the Manhattan Theater Club.
