Randall ScottRandall Scott will speak on what community benefit districts (CBDs) are and why they are becoming more popular. He will also cover what a public surveillance camera system is and why it’s better run as a public private partnership. There will be time for questions after his presentation.

Randall Scott is currently the Executive Director of the Fisherman’s Wharf CBD and began his role there in 2018. As a member of the San Francisco Benefit District Alliance which is comprised of all of the CBDs in the City, Randall was elected by his peers to be President/CEO of that organization in 2022. In 2023, Randall formed and is the President/CEO of Better SF which is another non-profit designed to enter into public private contracts with the City to make San Francisco more efficient and effective.

Randall is also the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Fisherman’s Wharf. Previously,  Randall was the Director of Services for the Union Square BID (now called the Union Square Alliance) where he was integral is rolling out the City’s first public surveillance network. Randall’s first entry in the CBD world was running operations for a contractor covering Yerba Buena, Union Square, Mid-Market, Civic Center, and Union Square Park.
