REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED. The Foundation of the Rotary Club of San Francisco has generously donated a grant of $10,000.00 to the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank that was matched by another donor. A very successful volunteer day was held in August 2020. We are once again in need of your helping hands. Members and guests are invited to join with the Rotary Club of San Francisco Castro to assemble and package food for distribution at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. COVID-19 social distancing rules will be observed.
Here is some information you must know and agree to before signing up:
- Orientation and training are included in each shift.
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Age limits:
- Weekdays: 11+ years old
- Saturdays: 8+ years old
- Sundays: 4+ years old
Special instructions during this pandemic:
- Please download and read these screening questions from the City and County of San Francisco.
- All volunteers must bring and wear a face covering (one-way valve masks are not acceptable).
Instructions:
- Closed-toe shoes are required at all volunteer projects.
- We recommend volunteers not wear jewelry. If worn, all items must be covered by the provided gloves and/or hairnets.
- We suggest dressing in casual and clean layers, as the temperature in the warehouse is often cool.
Please join us. The need for volunteers at the Food Bank has never been greater with the increased food insecurities in our community caused by COVID-19.
