Asian Art Museum imageThe Asian Art Museum is unveiling their latest exhibit: Phoenix Kingdoms: the Last Splendor of China’s Bronze Age which brings to life the distinguished Bronze Age cultures that flourished 3,000 years ago along the Yangzi River, a cradle of Chinese civilization. We are very lucky to tour this exhibit with a familiar face as our docent - Peggy Mathers. Join us to learn more about these incredible cultures and artworks with more than 150 pieces of art on display. Following this one-hour tour, we will have a reception at the Asian Art Museum itself including a light dinner buffet with Asian-inspired dishes, wine, and non-alcoholic options.

There are two ways to attend this event. You can either buy tickets for the tour and reception or you can just attend the reception if you are unable to join us earlier or a one-hour walking tour isn't feasible. We'd love to have you join for both if possible. The museum does provide on-demand wheelchairs in the coat check area if helpful. Your tour ticket also gives you access to the general exhibits at the museum, and the museum will be open until 8 PM on this day if you'd like to explore more.

There is easy public transportation access through the BART and Muni Civic Center station which is a short walk away. If you are driving, the Civic Center parking garage across the street is open until 10 PM.

The tour begins at 5 PM, and the reception begins at 6 PM. Ticket price for museum access, exhibit tour, and dinner reception is $50 per person. Ticket price for the reception only is $35 per person.

This event is open to all Rotarians and guests. Attendance for the tour is capped at 20 people and 25 total for the reception. Please register by Friday, April 26 as we need to provide our venue with final headcount numbers in advance. Feel free to reach out to Alisha Marfatia with any questions or concerns. In addition, Alisha will need one volunteer to be her contact on that day for the museum, as she will unfortunately be out of town for this event. Please email her if you'd be able to do this and she will comp your ticket.
