Rotary Club of San Francisco
President Ozan Yasavur called the first Board meeting of the 2026-2027 Rotary year via Zoom to order on July 28, 2026. He thanked the Board members for their service and asked Board members to speak freely during this meeting. Secretary Stacey Poole recorded the minutes.
In attendance were Gary Dales, Ann Daugherty, Daniel DeSanto, Thomas Estruth, David Folk, Alisha Marfatia, Stacey Poole, Yana Sharma, Kayla Trunecek, and President Ozan Yasavur, constituting a quorum. Absent were Tim Hornbecker, Stellie Kim, and Hana Wang. President Ozan welcomed our guests: Mary Liu, Christopher Wiseman, and Frank Yoke.
Approval of June 2026 Board Minutes
The Board approved the June 23, 2026 meeting minutes.
Treasurer’s Report
President Ozan gave an overview of the 2026-2027 budget. Treasurer Gary Dales provided additional information on the proposed budget. The Board then approved the 2026-2027 budget.
The Board reviewed and approved the luncheon subsidy policy for Visiting Rotarians and Guests. The Board also approved two expenditures exceeding $5,000.
Online Tools for the Board
President Ozan discussed the Board's use of Google Workspace and Slack.
Anti-Human Trafficking Committee
Past President Christopher Wiseman announced the revival of the Anti-Human Trafficking Committee.
Emergency Grant Funding
Past President Christopher Wiseman discussed the $10,000 available for emergency grant funding in the 2026-2027 Rotary year. See details here.
Membership
The Board reviewed and approved the membership application for Bill Gregory for individual membership and the membership application for Jenny Feinberg as a member of our new partner — the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
August 2026 Rotarian of the Month
President Ozan and the Board selected James Horsman as the August 2026 Rotarian of the Month.

Ann Daugherty made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Alisha Marfatia seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 6:21 p.m.
