Rotary Club of San Francisco
President Frank Yoke called the meeting via Zoom to order at 4:02 p.m. on June 23, 2026. Secretary Dora Dye recorded the minutes. In attendance were Gary Dales, Ann Daugherty, Dora Dye, Bob Hermann, Tim Hornbecker, Margaret Miley, Maureen O’Shea, Hana Xu Wang, Ozan Yasavur, and President Frank Yoke, constituting a quorum. Stephen Geisheker joined the meeting but left at 4:40 p.m. Absent were Stellie Kim, Wendy Shew, and Darlene Wilson. President Frank welcomed our guests: David Folk, Mary Liu, Alisha Marfatia, Stacey Poole, Kayla Trunecek, and Christopher Wiseman.
Approval of Board Minutes
The Board approved with one abstention the May 26, 2026 meeting minutes.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gary Dales presented the Balance Sheet and the Statement of Operations through May 31, 2026 for the Rotary Club of San Francisco. He said that President Frank would end his term on June 30, 2026 and leave the Club in good financial condition. The Board then approved the June 2026 Treasurer’s Report as presented. There was a discussion regarding the United Nations funds. The Board approved the transfer of $17,600 of the United Nations funds to Rotary Service, Inc.
Leo Sherwood Estate
President Frank gave an update on the status of the Leo Sherwood Estate.
Report from the San Francisco Rotary Foundation
San Francisco Rotary Foundation (SFRF) President Christopher Wiseman joined this meeting to share who the SFRF Board members were and to announce that on June 29, 2026, the SFRF Board would consider the grant proposals that our Board had approved on May 26, 2026.
Conflict-of-Interest Policy
President Frank asked the Board to send comments regarding the draft Conflict-of-Interest policy to Gary Dales.
Sister Clubs
President Frank began a discussion on the responsibilities involved in having a Sister Club. The matter was left for the next Club Board to continue.
Membership
The Board reviewed the membership application for Sasha Froyland and approved Sasha for individual membership.
President’s Message of Gratitude
President Frank thanked the Board for a marvelous Rotary year. He shared some highlights from the 2026 Rotary International Convention in Taipei.
July 2026 Rotarian of the Month
President-Elect Ozan and the Board selected Eric Orantes as the July 2026 Rotarian of the Month.
2027 Rotary International Convention
President-Elect Ozan asked about funding to attend the 2027 Rotary International Convention in Barcelona. The Board agreed to cover the travel and convention expenses that Ozan will incur in June 2027 to attend the 2027 Rotary International Convention in Barcelona.

The Trustees approved with one abstention the May 26, 2026 meeting minutes.
Treasurer's Report
Treasurer Gary Dales discussed the surplus in the Rotary Service, Inc. account. The Trustees approved the following allocations from the surplus funds:
- $1,500 to the American Legion.
- $3,000 to the United Nations account.
- The remainder of the surplus funds will stay in the Rotary Service, Inc. account.
Next, Treasurer Gary Dales presented the Balance Sheet, the receivables, and the Statement of Activity through May 31, 2026 for Rotary Service, Inc. The Trustees approved the Treasurer’s Report as presented.
